    Meet Jojo L.G. Mafnas

    Subject Area(s): Health (K-12)

     

    Prior to joining the LFP Team in school year 2007-2008, Jojo taught physical education and middle school science and now teaches health and PE.  He has been with the Guam Department of Education about 23 years.  Jojo believes education is the key for the clients to be successful.

       

    Meet Christopher L.G. Mafnas

    Subject Area(s): Math (K-12), Music Appreciation

     

    Chris is at the peak of his teaching career with about 21 years with the Guam Department of Education.  He joined the LFP Team in school year 2011-2012 and had a brief stint as Program Coordinator.   Chris believes that every student can learn if they are provided a structured, positive and safe environment.  His teaching philosophy is based upon the idea expressed by Jim Caviezel that, “Freedom exists not so that we can do as we want, freedom exists so that we can do as we ought.

       

    Meet Anthony J. Santos

    Subject Area(s): Science (K-12); Chamorro

     

    Tony joined the LFP Team in school year 2000-2001.  He has been with the Guam Department of Education roughly 19 years.  His philosophy in teaching is that “Every student is unique and special in his/her own way”.

       
     

    Meet Diane Marie Mandilag

    Specialty Area: Data Collection and Keeping Teachers on their Toes!

     

    Diane joined the LFP Team in school year 2015-2016.  She has been with the Guam Department of Education 22 ½ years.  Diane specializes in taking care of her teachers and providing data collection for the Liheng Famagu’on Program.  Diane believes that all children need support and guidance in meeting their academic goals.

       
     

    Meet Carmen L. Garrido, Ed.D.

    Subject Area(s): Language Arts

    Certification:  Counseling

     

    Carmen joined the LFP Team in school year 2018-2019.  She brings to the LFP Team a background in working with challenged youth and managing programs.  Carmen has been with the Guam Department of Education for 21 years as a teacher, counselor, and, currently, as Liheng Famagu’on’s School Program Consultant.  Carmen believes in the words of Earl Nightingale that “we become what we think about."

       
     

    Meet Elizabeth G.T. Reyes

    Subject Area(s): Social Studies & Art

     

    Liz pioneered the program when she entered the LFP Team in school year 1992-1993.  Her mentor the late Dr. Rosa Carter convinced Liz to teach even for a short time at DYA-LFP.  She has been with the Guam Department of Education for 27 years. Liz believes that every student can learn and is thrilled when a student connects with the lesson.  She is hopeful that a spark ignites within a child because s/he has found the confidence to succeed.

       
     

    Meet Marie P. Angoco

    Subject Area(s): Language Arts & Special Education

     

    Marie joined the LFP Team in school year 2016-2017.  She has been with Guam Department of Education for 30 years.  She believes that every student should not be judge based on their errors.  Kids have the potential for greatness! To God be the Glory.
